Which Higgsfield AI plan do I need?

You need about 24 credits a month

Best fit

–

–

Monthly prices as reported in October 2026. Credits per clip from my own transaction log: Seedance 2.5 cost 28 to 38 credits a clip, Kling 4.0 cost 16. Images cost much less (0.25 to 11 credits each), so add a little on top if you also make images. Subscription credits do not roll over.

Higgsfield AI costs $19 to $129 a month for individual plans, and every plan is a bucket of credits. Starter gives you 270 credits, Plus 1,200 and Ultra 3,000, according to Higgsfield’s pricing guide in October 2026. What those credits buy depends on the model, so below I show what my own images and clips cost.

I use Higgsfield every day on the Creator plan for my businesses and Instagram. The credit numbers on this page come from my transaction log, not from a demo. For the full verdict, read my Higgsfield AI review. For other tools I have paid for, see my AI tool reviews.

  • Starter: $19 a month for 270 credits, about 7 cents a credit.

  • Ultra: $129 a month, or $99 a month billed yearly, for 3,000 credits. About 4.3 cents a credit monthly, or 3.3 cents yearly.
  • Team, Scale and Enterprise: pooled credits across a workspace, billed per seat or on custom terms.

Prices move fast here. Higgsfield’s own blog post from September 2026 listed Starter at $15 for 200 credits and Plus at $49 ($39 yearly) for 1,000 credits. Ultra was the same $129, or $99 yearly, for 3,000 credits. If a guide quotes the lower numbers, it is out of date.

My own Creator plan does not appear on today’s public pricing page. I signed up on Creator before the current Starter, Plus and Ultra line-up, and I have stayed on it because it covers my daily images and a handful of clips a week.

What is Higgsfield AI?

Higgsfield AI is a web app that puts many AI image and video models behind one login and one credit balance: Nano Banana, GPT Image, Seedream, Seedance, Kling and Higgsfield’s own Soul models, plus tools like a background remover and Genjutsu motion transfer. You pay Higgsfield and spend credits on whichever model fits the job. Higgsfield shows the credit cost before each job runs.

What do Higgsfield images and videos cost in credits?

This is the part the plan table cannot tell you. Here is what I paid per job in the two days before publishing, 3 to 5 Nov 2026, from my Higgsfield transaction log. The dollar column uses 5 cents a credit, the auto-refill rate in my account (20 credits per $1).

Model or toolTypeCredits per jobAbout in dollars
Higgsfield Soul V2Image0 to 0.12Free to under 1 cent
GPT Image 2.6Image0.25 to 4.251 to 21 cents
Nano Banana ProImage2 to 410 to 20 cents
Seedream 5.0 ProImage2.513 cents
Nano Banana 2.1Image315 cents
GPT Image 2.0Image1155 cents
Image Background RemoverEdit15 cents
Kling 4.0Video clip1680 cents
Seedance 2.5Video clip28 to 38$1.40 to $1.90
Genjutsu Motion TransferVideo98 (one video)$4.90

Soul V2 images were mostly free on my plan. That fits Higgsfield’s blog, which says paid plans include free generation pools for Soul V2 and Soul Cinema. Two failed jobs were refunded to my balance automatically, one for 3 credits and one for 56.

What each plan buys at those rates

Using my own numbers:

  • Starter, 270 credits: about 7 to 9 Seedance 2.5 clips, or 16 Kling 4.0 clips, or 90 Nano Banana 2.1 images.
  • Plus, 1,200 credits: about 31 to 42 Seedance 2.5 clips, or 75 Kling 4.0 clips, or 400 Nano Banana 2.1 images.
  • Ultra, 3,000 credits: about 78 to 107 Seedance 2.5 clips, or 187 Kling 4.0 clips, or 1,000 Nano Banana 2.1 images.

Seedance 2.5 clips each Higgsfield plan buys a month

  2. Plus, 1,200 credits31 to 42
  3. Ultra, 3,000 credits78 to 107
Plan credits divided by the 28 to 38 credits a Seedance 2.5 clip cost me, 3 to 5 Nov 2026. Bar length shows the upper end. Plan credits from Higgsfield's pricing guide, Oct 2026.

Max’s take: Count your clips, not your images. My images barely move my balance. A few Seedance clips and one motion transfer use more credits than a week of images.

Is Higgsfield AI free?

Partly. Higgsfield’s help center says you can generate without a paid plan, but only on a small set of models and with no credits. The same page says there is no free trial: you use the free tier and upgrade later.

Trial offers do show up for some new users, though. One Trustpilot reviewer wrote that he was auto-renewed into a paid plan after a trial. If you take a trial, note the end date.

Higgsfield help center answers: no free trial period, a free tier with limited models, and subscription credits that do not roll over on individual plans

The Higgsfield MCP for Claude is not free either. Higgsfield’s connection guide says MCP needs an active paid plan. I cover setup in my Higgsfield MCP guide.

Do Higgsfield credits expire?

Yes, in two ways:

  • Plan credits reset at every renewal and do not roll over on individual plans, per the help center. Enterprise is the only tier with rollover.
  • Credit packs and auto-refill credits expire 90 days after purchase. Higgsfield’s pricing guide says so, and so does the billing panel in my account.

How much are Higgsfield credit top-ups?

These are the one-time credit packs shown in my account’s billing panel on 5 Nov 2026. They were shown as discounted, so your prices may differ.

PackPrice shownListed full priceCost per credit
500 credits$24.65$42.50About 4.9 cents

2,000 credits$89.25$170About 4.5 cents
4,000 credits$179.35$340About 4.5 cents

Auto-refill tops you up at 20 credits per $1, from $30 for 600 credits to $300 for 6,000 credits. At about 4.5 to 5 cents a credit, packs cost about the same as Plus or Ultra billed monthly. A yearly plan is cheaper per credit, but only if you use the credits before they reset.

Here is every way to buy Higgsfield credits side by side. Each figure is the price divided by the credits: Starter is $19 / 270 = 7.0 cents, the 500 pack is $24.65 / 500 = 4.9 cents, and Ultra billed yearly is $99 / 3,000 = 3.3 cents.

What does Higgsfield Unlimited include?

Plus and Ultra come with time-limited Unlimited windows on selected models, and Starter gets none. On 5 Nov 2026 the pricing page listed the same 7-day Unlimited window on four models for both Plus and Ultra: Seedance 2.5, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 5.0 Pro and GPT Image 2.6. The difference is quality: Seedance 2.5 runs at 720p on Plus and 1080p on Ultra. This has changed since Higgsfield’s September blog post, which listed only Nano Banana 2 for Plus.

Read the small print. The same post says Unlimited works only on higgsfield.ai, in the standard queue. MCP, CLI and Canvas jobs always use credits. One Ultra user on Trustpilot wrote that Unlimited generations sat in processing for over an hour, while paid clips finished in two to three minutes.

The cheapest way to use Higgsfield

  1. Start on Starter monthly. At $19 it is the cheapest way in. Use it for a few weeks and check your transactions page to see what you really spend.
  2. Move to Plus if you make video. Plus has more than four times Starter’s credits for about three times the price, so each credit costs less.
  3. Pay yearly only once you are sure. Plus drops from $59 to $47 a month and Ultra from $129 to $99. Monthly credits still reset, so a yearly plan only saves money if you use them.
  4. Use cheap models for drafts. Soul V2 and GPT Image 2.6 cost me 0 to 4.25 credits a job. Save Seedance and motion transfer for the final version.
  5. Top up instead of upgrading when you only go over once in a while, and use the pack within 90 days.

My own routine: I draft images on the cheap models, then spend credits on Seedance or Kling only for the clips I will actually post.

Higgsfield vs Kling, Runway, Pika and Midjourney pricing

If you only need one model, a single-model plan can be cheaper. Each price below was checked on the vendor’s own page on 5 Nov 2026.

Cheapest paid plan per month, Higgsfield vs other AI tools

  1. Kling AI Standard$8.80
  2. Midjourney Basic$10
  3. Pika Starter$10
  4. Runway Standard$15
  5. Higgsfield AI Starter$19
Monthly billing. Kling is $6.99 for the first month, then $8.80. Checked on each vendor's pricing page on 5 Nov 2026; Higgsfield as reported in Oct 2026.

Higgsfield AI$19/mo (Oct 2026)270Free tier, no credits
Kling AI$6.99 first month, then $8.80/mo660See kling.ai
Runway$15/mo, or $12 billed yearly625125 one-time credits
Pika$10/mo, or $8 billed yearly900Free plan, credit packs only
Midjourney$10/mo, or $8 billed yearlyGPU time, not creditsNone listed

Kling’s membership page shows Standard at $6.99 for the first month, then $8.80 a month for 660 credits. Runway Standard is $15 a month for 625 credits. Pika Starter is $10 a month for 900 credits. Midjourney Basic is $10 a month. Credits are not comparable between tools, so compare what a finished clip costs you, not the credit count.

Higgsfield costs more at entry, but it gives you all the major models from one balance. My Kling AI pricing and Midjourney pricing guides go deeper on those two. If you are also weighing AI app builders for your business, my Base44 review covers that side.

Is Higgsfield AI worth the price?

Yes, if you make AI images and short clips every week. Images cost me almost nothing, and short clips cost 16 to 38 credits each. It is poor value if you only use one model, or if you make video once a month and let the credits reset unused. For my full verdict, scores and user reviews, see the Higgsfield AI review.

FAQ8 questions

Questions people ask

01

How much does it cost for Higgsfield?

Starter is $19 a month for 270 credits, Plus is $59 a month ($47 billed yearly) for 1,200 credits, and Ultra is $129 a month ($99 billed yearly) for 3,000 credits, as reported in October 2026. Team, Scale and Enterprise are priced per seat or custom.

02

How to use Higgsfield free?

Sign up for the free tier. Higgsfield's help center says you can generate without a paid plan, but only on a small set of models and with no credits. There is no standard free trial, so to try the big models like Seedance or Kling you need a paid plan or a credit pack.

03

Do Higgsfield credits expire?

Yes. Plan credits reset at every renewal and do not roll over on individual plans (Enterprise is the exception). Credit packs and auto-refill credits expire 90 days after purchase.

04

Is Higgsfield cheaper than Kling?

Not if you only want Kling. Kling's Standard plan is $6.99 for the first month, then $8.80 a month for 660 credits (checked on kling.ai, 5 Nov 2026). Higgsfield starts at $19 a month, but that buys every major image and video model from one balance, not just Kling.

05

How much does an AI subscription cost?

For AI image and video tools, most entry plans sit between $8 and $20 a month: Midjourney Basic is $10, Pika Starter is $10, Runway Standard is $15 and Higgsfield Starter is $19 (checked 5 Nov 2026). Serious video use usually means a $35 to $130 plan.

06

Where can I see Higgsfield AI's official pricing?

On higgsfield.ai/pricing. Higgsfield's help center says that page is the source of record for all plans and current prices, and prices can vary by country. Check it on the day you buy, because the plans changed between September and October 2026.

07

Can I get a refund from Higgsfield?

Only in a narrow window. Higgsfield's help center says a refund may be possible within 7 days of your first purchase if you have not used any credits, with a service fee of up to 6%. Renewals are non-refundable. Failed generations are a separate case: in my account the credits came back automatically.

08

Does the Higgsfield MCP cost extra?

No separate fee, but you need a paid plan. Jobs you run through the Higgsfield MCP in Claude use your normal credit balance, and Higgsfield says Unlimited offers do not apply to MCP jobs.
